Our Winter Football Academy is back and, once again, we have expanded our Coaching Staff! 

The camps are non-padded, non-contact football skills development with tracks for Boys Flag, Girls Flag, and Tackle taught by a first-class group of former college & professional athletes.

Also, on Super Bowl Sunday, February 8th, all Academy athletes will be invited to Northbrook's first ever Offseason Football Combine. More details to come!

Additionally, all 4th-8th grade participants will receive 20% off* of a TCBoost 5-Pack where our athletes will learn the foundational mechanics and principles of speed and agility from Chicago’s TOP Speed Coaches. Athletes will improve burst, acceleration, change of direction and lateral/vertical power.

Our ALL-STAR Coaching Staff

WIDE RECEIVERS

Juwan Brescacin played eight seasons in the Canadian Football League as a Wide Receiver, for the Calgary Stampeders, Toronto Argonauts and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He has played in three Grey Cup games and was a member of the 106th Grey Cup championship team. He played college football for the Northern Illinois Huskies.

Eliot Fields is a former stand-out Jr Spartan and GBN alum who now serves as the Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the GBN Varsity football team. He played at Carroll University and went on to coach at Carroll, the University of Indianapolis, and Wisconsin–Whitewater. 

QUARTERBACK 

Antonio Pipkin is a former professional Quarterback. Pipkin has been a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Arizona Cardinals, the Montreal Alouettes, the Edmonton Football Team, Toronto Argonauts, BC Lions, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He played college football at Tiffin and is the founder of Push Football Academy. 

DEFENSIVE BACKS

Devon Whittaker is a former college defensive back. He played four years at Aurora University, a top 25 team in Division III, and went to coach there after graduation. 

LINEBACKERS

Grant DePalma is a former Western Michigan University linebacker, team captain, and professional player with more than 17 years in the game. He was the Bahamas Bowl Defensive MVP, a 300-tackle college standout, and a Burlsworth Trophy nominee who climbed from D3 to D1 on pure work ethic. 

OFFENSIVE LINE

Ben Wrather is a former Northwestern Wildcats offensive lineman who played in 52 games across five seasons, starting at right tackle in 2024 and center in 2023. He earned Academic All–Big Ten honors multiple times and was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. In 2023, he logged 770 snaps, posted an 83.9 pass grade against Duke, and helped anchor the line in the Las Vegas Bowl win over Utah.
